Bus Lines Announced for Cairo International Book Fair

Cairo governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber has introduced a fleet of buses to facilitate access to the 56th Cairo International Book Fair, which will take place from January 23rd to February 5th, 2025, at the Egypt International Exhibition and Convention Center (EIEC) in the Fifth Settlement.

A total of 58 buses will initially operate on routes that cover most areas of Cairo, with the fleet size potentially increasing based on demand. Each bus serving the fair will be marked with a ‘Book Fair Service’ sign to distinguish it from regular routes.

Seven specialised service lines have been established to transport visitors to the Cairo International Book Fair, each covering large areas of the city to ensure comprehensive accessibility. The Abdel Moneim Riad Square Line will pass through Ramses, Abbassia, Al-Azhar University, and Al-Musheer Axis, utilising 10 buses.

Similarly, the Shubra Roundabout Line will connect Shubra Street, Ahmed Helmy Square, Ramses Street, Abbassia, Al-Sekka Club, Al-Azhar University and Al-Musheer Axis, also with 10 buses.

The New Nozha Line will operate with eight buses, stopping at Al-Hijaz Square, Al-Sabaa Emaar, Makram Ebeid, Mustafa Al-Nahhas, Al-Manhal, Al-Wafaa and Al-Amal.

For residents in Al-Amiriya, the designated line will run through Al-Matariya Square, Al-Helmeya, Ain Shams Girls College, Hisham Barakat Square, the Seventh District, the Embassy District, and the exhibition center, with seven buses available.

The Giza Square Line will traverse Cairo University, Qasr Al-Aini, Sayeda Aisha, the Autostrad, Al-Azhar University, and the Book Fair, employing 10 buses.

The Saqr Quraish Line, with five buses, will connect Carrefour Maadi, Wadi Degla Club, the Ring Road, and Al-Musheer Axis. Finally, the Al-Mazallat Line will operate with eight buses, serving Saray Al-Qubba, Roxy, the Seven Buildings, the Eighth District, Al-Wafaa, Al-Amal, Al-Musheer Axis, and the exhibition centre.
