The second edition of Eltiqa welcomes Saudi and Brazilian art in ‘CONEXÃO’ to promote intercultural understanding.
The second edition of the intercultural Eltiqa initiative will feature a special exhibition titled ‘CONEXÃO’, showcasing traditional Brazilian and Saudi arts and dance. The exhibition will take place from January 30th until February 1st, and will be held at King Fahd Cultural Centre in Riyadh.
‘CONEXÃO’ will feature 10 Saudi and Brazilian traditional dance performances, and an exhibition blending distinguishing features of traditional art from both countries. The exhibition will also feature a piece of artwork co-created by two artists from Saudi and Brazil.
With the objective of deepening cultural understanding between the two countries: ‘CONEXÃO’ will also feature over 15 interactive activities such as workshops and lectures designed to showcase performing and visual arts.
Funded by the Saudi Minister of Culture and Chairman of Board of Trustees, Prince Badr bin Fadr bin Farhan, Eltiqa is an initiative designed to reinforce and enhance cultural exchange between Saudi Arabia and other nations through hosting artistic exchanges between Saudi and a different guest-country each year. The first edition of Eltiqa in 2023 featured South Korean art.
