Saudi Arabia’s Visual Arts Commission has announced the curatorial team for the first edition of Art Week Riyadh. The lineup includes Vittoria Matarrese as Artistic Director and Curator, Basma Harasani and Victoria Gandit Lelandais as Associate Curators, and Shumon Basar leading the Public Programme.
“Art Week Riyadh represents an extraordinary opportunity to engage with a city and region undergoing profound cultural transformation,” Matarrese said.
The event, headquartered at the JAX District with activations across the city, will feature over 30 local, regional, and international galleries alongside a public programme of talks and performances. Under the theme ‘At The Edge’, the curators are shaping a program that examines Riyadh’s shifting cultural identity and its evolving global role.
Art Week Riyadh will run from April 6th to the 13th, 2025.
