Cairo University & Alexandria University to Open Branches in the UAE
These decisions are designed to boost the global presence of Egyptian universities and expand student opportunities.
The Supreme Council of Universities approved the establishment of new university branches in the UAE, including Cairo University’s new branch in Ajman and Alexandria University’s new branch in Abu Dhabi.
This decision comes after Alexandria University’s proposal to open a branch in Malaysia was also approved. The Council also approved the allocation of 49,310 square metres in the New Administrative Capital for a university complex, which will contribute to the growing educational infrastructure in Egypt.
The Council further approved a list of universities where presidential nominations will be opened, including Beni Suef, Kafr El-Sheikh, Matrouh, Arish and Hurghada Universities.
These decisions are part of a larger strategy to enhance the global presence of Egyptian universities, improve the quality of higher education, and provide more opportunities for students both domestically and internationally.
