Cold Moon to Light Up Meydan in UAE’s First Supermoon Racing Night

Meydan Racecourse will host the UAE’s first Supermoon Racing Night on Friday, December 5th, when the year’s final supermoon — known as the Cold Moon — rises over Dubai during an active race card. The event forms part of the 2025–26 Dubai Racing Carnival.

The moon is expected to appear above the Meydan grandstand at approximately 5:48 PM, aligning with the evening’s racing programme. Visitors will be able to watch both the track and the sky from the Paddock Garden, where telescopes will be available for public use.

Alongside racing, the event will include food pop-ups and family-friendly seating areas across the viewing space. For those not attending, the supermoon will remain visible across the UAE from any clear eastern horizon.

Tickets for the Paddock Garden are priced at AED 75. Gates open at 4:00 PM, with the first race scheduled for 5:30 PM.
