Construction of First Tunnel of Fourth Cairo Metro Line Completed

The first of two tunnels which will make up the new Cairo Metro Line 4 has been completed, marking the beginning of the first phase of construction.

Stretching 1,620 metres, the line will run between Hadayek El Ashgar and Hadayek El Ahram. The new line will be implemented in two directions, with a separate tunnel for each direction. The second tunnel, which is yet to be built, will extend between Al Nasr, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Al Ramyah and the Great Pyramids of Giza.
