Couples in Abu Dhabi Can Now Get Married Online for AED 800

Couples can now marry in Abu Dhabi through the Tamm government services app via an online ceremony priced at AED 800, with the entire process possible within a day if documents are ready and an appointment is booked. The service is overseen by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and is available to citizens, residents and visitors anywhere in the world.

Ceremonies may be held in person or over a secure WebEx link. The licensed officiant and two witnesses join via mobile or desktop video, and guests can also join remotely. Couples do not need to be physically in the UAE and may assign a power of attorney in the country to attend on their behalf. For an additional AED 300, the marriage certificate is digitally attested through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and issued with a UAE Pass digital signature, delivered to the couple.

Eligibility checks are linked to UAE Pass and the Emirates ID system to prevent forced or under-age marriages and to confirm legal status. Tamm, which aggregates more than 1,100 public and private services, also offers personal credit reports and is slated to add services such as car loans and mortgages.
