Dakar Rally Will Go Full Throttle in Saudi Arabia This January

Rev your engines! The 46th edition of Dakar Rally - one of the biggest off-road endurance events in the world - is going full throttle into Saudi Arabia for the fifth time from January 5th to the 19th. Over 1,000 race cars and equipment have already been shipped from Barcelona to the Kingdom, where they will prepare to make their marks at the starting line at a desert camp near the historic city of AlUla.

The rally course will consist of a prologue stage and 12 special stages, starting from the AlUla desert before tearing through Al-Henakiyah, Al-Duwadimi, Al-Salamiya, Al-Hofuf, Shubaytah, Riyadh, Hail, and Yanbu.

The Dakar Rally, formerly known as the Paris-Dakar Rally is considered one of the oldest motorsport races, having thrilled racing fans across the globe since 1978. Since 2020, the rally has been held in Saudi Arabia.
