Damanhour University’s Food Safety Department is set to launch a new food research centre, the first of its kind at an Egyptian university.
The centre looks to study nutrition, ensure the safety of food intake, and raise the quality of food products, be it for local consumption or foreign markets. This will be done through mandatory consultations at slaughterhouses, meat factories, and farms. The centre will be able to conduct virtual or laboratory examinations in accordance with local and international standards.
