Dental Students No Longer Need a Year of Residency After Graduation
Starting 2025, graduating dental students no longer have to do a year of residency before practising.

A recent decision by the Minister of Health and Population, as well as the General Syndicate of Dentists, will allow dentistry graduates from public universities to begin practising medicine after graduation without going through their residency period, which typically lasts one year.
Instead, the General Syndicate of Dentists emphasises the importance of the professional practice exam. Passing this exam allows students to apply for registration with the Syndicate or obtain a practising licence.
