Digital Assignment System for UAE Schools Rolled Out for Ramadan

The Ministry of Education has introduced a unified digital system for student assignments in public schools during Ramadan, covering all classes from kindergarten to Grade 12. Under the new framework, all tasks and evaluations will be uploaded through the Learning Management System in line with the approved curriculum plan.
The ministry stated that the system is designed to enhance consistency, transparency and fairness across educational stages while enabling closer monitoring of academic performance. Schools and teachers are required to follow standardised procedures when creating and publishing assessments.
These steps include entering a clear assignment title, providing detailed instructions, specifying the type of task and grading criteria, setting submission deadlines, and releasing each assessment in accordance with the curriculum schedule. The process establishes unified workflows across schools to reduce variation in evaluation practices during Ramadan.
Students and parents are also required to adhere to defined submission guidelines. Completed work must be uploaded electronically in approved formats, including images, Word documents, PowerPoint files or video, with a maximum file size of 50MB. Students must press the submit button to ensure their work is officially recorded and counted towards final evaluation.
Teachers are instructed to access the course plan, activate the ‘Ramadan with the Family 2026’ module and label each task in English as Week 1, Week 2 or Week 3. Assignments will be categorised as handouts and graded out of 10 marks.
