Madinah Bus Routes Shift to Shuttle Services for Last Days of Ramadan
Several Madinah bus routes will operate as shuttle services during the final days of Ramadan.
Several public transport routes in Madinah will be converted to shuttle services beginning March 15th as authorities prepare for increased numbers of worshippers and visitors during the final days of Ramadan.
The adjustment is being implemented through the Madinah Bus Project overseen by the Al Madinah Region Development Authority. Officials stated that the change aims to improve the efficiency of the public transport system and expand service capacity during peak hours in the last ten days of the holy month.
Routes scheduled for conversion include 230, 231, 290, 291, 390, 391, 450, 490 and 590. Under the shuttle configuration, buses will operate on shorter, more frequent routes designed to move passengers quickly between key destinations.
The service adjustment is intended to facilitate movement for visitors travelling to the Prophet’s Mosque and Quba Mosque, which attract large numbers of worshippers during the final days of Ramadan.
