3,000 Children Reunited With Families at Madinah Mosques in Ramadan
The initiative operates across the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque and Quba Mosque to reunite children with their families.
More than 3,000 children have been cared for and reunited with their families at mosques in Madinah since the start of Ramadan through services provided by the Center for Lost Children.
The centre operates in the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque and Quba Mosque, where large numbers of pilgrims and visitors gather during the holy month.
Affiliated with the Hadiyah Charity Association for Pilgrims and Visitors, the centre runs a field team that receives children who become separated from their families in crowded areas around the mosques.
Staff members provide immediate care in a secure environment while contacting family members and coordinating with guardians to arrange reunification. The process focuses on keeping children safe while establishing contact with relatives and returning them to their families as quickly as possible.
The initiative forms part of wider humanitarian services offered during Ramadan to support visitors and worshippers at the Prophet’s Mosque. The programme operates directly within the mosque courtyards in Madinah, where teams assist children who lose contact with their families amid the large crowds typical during the holy month.
