Dubai’s Public Beaches to Be Reserved for Families During Eid Al Adha
The department has also allocated a safety and rescue team of 140 highly qualified lifeguards and medical personnel.
The Dubai Municipality has announced that all public beaches in Dubai will be reserved for families during the Eid Al Adha holiday, including Khor Al Mamzar Beach, Al Mamzar Corniche, Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3, Umm Suqeim 1 and 2, as well as Jebel Ali Beach.
According to the Director of the Department of Public Beaches and Water Canals in Dubai, the decision aims to regulate the number of visitors to the beach during a public holiday when demand tends to be at its highest.
The department has also allocated a safety and rescue team of 140 highly qualified lifeguards and medical personnel in order to maximise coastal safety during the holiday. A team of 65 field supervisors will also be on standby to oversee the beach, and help organise the expected crowds. Dubai has received Blue Flag accreditation for five consecutive years, a testament to the high standards upheld by the municipality for public beach areas.
