Dubai to Build Its Longest Beach Yet at Jebel Ali
The project will stretch 6.6 km and is part of Dubai’s goal to expand public beaches to 105 km by 2040.

Dubai has announced plans to develop Jebel Ali Beach, which will become the city’s longest public beach at 6.6 kilometres. The project is part of a broader strategy by Dubai’s government to extend the total length of public beaches to 105 kilometres by 2040, enhancing both public access and ecological preservation.
Situated along the Arabian Gulf coastline, the new beach will span an area of 330 hectares and will include extensive facilities such as pedestrian walkways, cycling tracks, rest areas, and a range of food and beverage outlets. The beach will also feature environmentally sensitive zones including a turtle conservation area and protected mangrove habitats.
The Dubai Municipality and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) are working jointly on the project, which aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. The beach will be developed in two key zones: a 1.6 km area designated for eco-tourism and environmental preservation, and a 5 km area focused on public recreation, complete with sports fields and family amenities.
