A municipal solid waste recycling plant in Shubra El-Kheima in the Governorate of Giza will be established with a total investment of EGP 495 million. This project, finalised by the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Local Development, and the Ministry of Planning and Local Development, is set to cover 17.8 acres and operate at a design capacity of 640 tons per day.
With a focus on integrating cutting-edge recycling technologies, the plant aims to not only create job opportunities but also reduce Egypt's reliance on imported organic fertiliser and alternative fuels.
