‘Edge of Life’ Campaign Raises AED 2.8 Billion for Child Nutrition
More than AED 2.8 billion was raised through the UAE-led initiative to support children at risk of hunger.
The ‘Edge of Life’ campaign has raised more than AED 2.822 billion to support children facing hunger and malnutrition, exceeding its AED 1 billion target before the end of Ramadan.
Launched on February 13th, 2026 by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative aims to help rescue five million children from hunger and prevent 30 million others from life-threatening malnutrition. A total of 44,208 donors contributed to the campaign, including individuals, companies and humanitarian organisations.
Run under Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, the campaign partnered with organisations including UNICEF, Save the Children, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and Action Against Hunger, focusing on communities affected by conflict and natural disasters.
The campaign also highlighted global estimates indicating that five children under the age of five die every minute from hunger or malnutrition.
