Domestic tourism in Saudi Arabia reached 28.9 million trips in the first quarter of 2026, with total spending rising to SAR 34.7 billion, according to the Ministry of Tourism.

The ministry reported a 16% increase in domestic trips compared to the same period in 2025, reflecting continued growth in local travel activity.

Spending also rose by 8% year-on-year, highlighting sustained demand across the domestic tourism sector.

The figures form part of the ministry’s quarterly tourism performance data, which tracks domestic travel trends and spending patterns across the Kingdom.
