Egypt Condemns Israeli Plan to Create Agency to Displace Palestinians
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called the move a violation of international law and warned against forced displacement.

Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning Israel’s announcement regarding the creation of an agency to manage the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The statement also rejected Israel’s move to formally recognise 13 new settlements in the occupied West Bank.
Egypt denounced the Israeli narrative of “voluntary departure” as a mischaracterisation, asserting that any movement of civilians under the conditions of ongoing war, bombardment, and restricted humanitarian access constitutes forced displacement. The statement emphasised that such actions are considered a crime under international and humanitarian law.
The ministry further urged the international community and the United Nations Security Council to take a firm stance on what it called ongoing Israeli violations and provocations. Egypt reiterated its call for the enforcement of international resolutions and the restoration of Palestinian rights, including the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4th, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
This development follows growing regional and international concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the continued expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, which are considered illegal under international law.
