Egypt Post Celebrates GEM Opening With New Stamp Collection
Issued by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology through Egypt Post, the designs depict ancient statues, the museum façade and logo.
Egypt Post has released a new set of commemorative stamps to mark the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum on November 1st, 2025. The issue recognises the inauguration with designs that reference the museum’s collection and architecture. The release is made up of a commemorative sheet of five stamps depicting ancient statues displayed in the museum, and a separate set of three stamps showcasing the museum façade and official logo. The commemorative sheet measures 14 centimetres x 23 centimetres and features five stamps. The additional set measures 5 centimetres x 9 centimetres and includes three stamps. All of the stamps are multicoloured, protected against forgery, and embedded with QR codes that offer collectors an interactive digital experience about the museum and its opening.
