Egypt & Saudi Arabia Record USD 2.34 Billion in Trade in Q1 2025

Egypt and Saudi Arabia recorded a total bilateral trade volume of USD 2.34 billion during the first quarter of 2025, according to newly released figures from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The data, which covers the period from January to March 2025, shows that Egyptian exports to Saudi Arabia reached USD 431.7 million, while imports from the Kingdom totalled approximately USD 1.91 billion. The figures position Saudi Arabia as one of Egypt’s leading trade partners in the region, particularly in energy, construction materials, food products, and consumer goods.

The bilateral trade is part of a broader USD 32.24 billion in total foreign trade reported by Egypt for the first quarter of the 2024/2025 fiscal year. The government has stated that expanding regional economic partnerships remains a priority, with Saudi Arabia continuing to play a pivotal role in both investment and trade.

Trade and economic cooperation between Cairo and Riyadh has been reinforced by joint initiatives in infrastructure, real estate, and energy. The two governments have also signed several recent memoranda of understanding aimed at facilitating cross-border investment and logistics integration as part of broader Vision 2030 and Egypt Vision 2030 frameworks.
