Egypt Tops World University Modern Pentathlon Championship Medals
Egyptian athletes won a total of five medals in the championship held in Kaunas, Lithuania from August 21st to the 24th.
Egyptian athletes topped the medal table at the World University Modern Pentathlon Championships, which was held in Kaunas, Lithuania from August 21st to the 24th. With a total of five medals - three golds, one silver and one bronze - Egypt outpaced Poland, which finished second with three medals (two silvers and one gold), and Lithuania, which secured third place with a single silver medal.
Moataz Wael, a national team player and student at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, took the gold in the men's singles competition. The duo of Moataz Wael and Zeina Amer claimed gold in the mixed relay, while the team of Mostafa Abu Amer and Zeina Amer won gold in the mixed team event.
The silver medal was earned by Mostafa Abu Amer, a national team player and student at the Canadian University, in the men's singles competition. The bronze medal was secured by the duo of Mostafa Abu Amer and Sally Ismail in the mixed relay.
