Egypt Will Host Sudanese Civil Political Forces Conference in June
The conference is intended to provide a space for inter-Sudanese dialogue on ways to build lasting peace in the country.
Egypt is set to play host to a conference of Sudanese Civil Political Forces in late June 2024, as the country continues to deal with a major civil war. The conference will bring together all relevant parties from within Sudan, as well as regional and international partners, with the aim of reaching a consensus among the various Sudanese civil political forces on ways to build lasting peace in the country through open inter-Sudanese dialogue.
The conference will take place in Egypt as the country continues to be a hub for attempts at resolving regional conflicts and promoting stability in bordering countries. Ceasefire negotiations for the ongoing bombardment and invasion of Gaza by Israeli Occupation Forces have been taking place for months in Cairo.
