Egypt's Garment Exports Rise 17% to USD 2.27 Billion in 2024
The US continued to be the biggest importer, with Egyptian exports increasing 14% to USD 971 million.
Egypt's ready-made garment exports increased by 17% to USD 2.27 billion between January and October 2024, up from USD 1.94 billion during the same period the previous year, according to the Apparel Export Council of Egypt.
In addition to domestic manufacturing expansions, overseas investments from nations like China, Vietnam, Turkiye and India helped drive this rise. The Apparel Export Council emphasised the industry's upward trend, bolstered by plans for strategic development and ventures into new export markets.
The US continued to be the biggest importer, with exports increasing 14% to USD 971 million, while exports from the EU increased 31% to USD 531 million. Exports to Arab nations reached USD 409 million, reflecting an 11% rise.
