Following their stunning success at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, all six of Egypt’s medal winners are set to have roads named after each of them.

The announcement was made after Feryal Ashraf Abdelaziz, who became the first Egyptian to win an Olympic gold medal in Karate, and her family met President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, where he personally congratulated the karateka on her performance during the women's kumite +61 kg event, and gifted her parents with a pilgrimage trip.
