Egypt's Red Crescent Trains Group of Volunteer Doctors to Support Gaza
The training course will provide participating doctors with rapid instruction on disaster response.
Dr. Khaled Amin Zaree, the Rapporteur of the Egypt Giving Committee within the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, has announced a collaboration with the Egyptian Red Crescent to train the first group of volunteer doctors for medical assistance to Palestinian patients in Gaza. The training is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 23, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Red Crescent. Members of the Doctors General Syndicate Council and its sub-unions will also be present during the training.
The training course will provide participating doctors with rapid instruction on disaster response. Additional doctors will be trained subsequently to further strengthen the support network.
Dr. Osama Abdel Hay, the head of the Egyptian Doctors Syndicate, extended an invitation to doctors specialising in orthopedics, pediatrics, general surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, anesthesiology, psychology, and neurology to join the medical team being organised within the Egypt Giving Committee of the Medical Syndicate. Their participation will contribute to the provision of vital medical support to the Palestinian people.
