Egyptian Government Distributes 10,000 Iftar Meals in Gaza

The Egyptian government has distributed 10,000 fresh iftar meals, 7,000 suhoor meals, and 25,000 bread loaves in Gaza on March 11th, the first day of Ramadan. The Egyptian government also carried out the eighth airdrop of humanitarian aid, using aircraft from the UAE Air Force and Egypt, specifically targeting the Northern Gaza Strip.

The food crisis in Gaza has been worsening since October 7th, with the UN stating that one in six children under the age of two in northern Gaza are suffering from acute malnutrition and wasting, leading to severe emaciation.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that at least 20 individuals, mostly children (some as old as 15), along with a 72-year-old man, have died due to malnutrition and dehydration at Kamal Adwan and Shifa hospitals.
