Egyptian Maha Abouelenein Joins Global Board of Directors of AP

Egyptian-American world-famous communications consultant, Maha 'Mother of PR' Abouelenein, has been appointed to the Global Board of Directors of the Associated Press.
As a seasoned communications expert with more than 30 years of experience, Abouelenein has advised global corporate giants, high-growth tech startups, governments, and high-net-worth individuals through her famously impressive strategic communication consulting firm, Digital & Savvy. She manages the personal brand PR for serial entrepreneur Gary Vee and consults for other high-profile individuals and companies, including author and alternative medicine advocate Dr. Deepak Chopra and Lebanese Dubai-based entrepreneur Karen Wazen.
Some of Abouelnein's other impressive achievement early-on in her career included helping some of the world’s largest tech companies launch into the Middle East market – from Netflix and Udacity to Careem and much more. She also served as the Head of Global Communications and Public Policy for Google MENA from 2011 to 2014, and supported the largest IPO in the history of Egypt while serving Orascom Telecom and Naguib Sawiris, all the while building sports marketing programs and strategic partnerships for the Olympics, NASCAR, the NBA, ATP Tennis, Golf, and the NFL.
Abouelnein announced her new venture through instagram, where she wrote, "As a self-proclaimed news junkie this is a thrilling opportunity for me - especially when we think about the future of news and how storytelling is a rapidly changing landscape that impacts us all."
