Egyptian Olympian Ahmed Elgendy won gold in the Modern Pentathlon World Cup 2024 held by the Union International de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) and hosted in Cairo, marking the third time the decorated young athlete has won the cup.
At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Elgendy snagged Egypt and Africa’s first-ever Olympic medal in modern pentathlon.
Elgendy is the recipient and ambassador of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award (MBRCSA) and has previously won UIPM’s Best Junior Pentathlete award.
