Egyptians Stranded in Gaza Need to Sign Google Form to Come Home
Requests used to be sent via a WhatsApp number provided by the Egyptian rep office in the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah.
Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has set up a Google form to receive requests from Egyptian citizens stranded in the Gaza Strip seeking to return home.
To ensure an expedited procedure, stranded individuals are required to fill out the form with accurate personal information, including passport details, national ID card, birth certificate, marriage contract, and other relevant documents. The form emphasises that each applicant must submit their own application first, followed by separate forms for each family member.
Once the data is received, a comprehensive list will be compiled and shared with the relevant authorities at the Rafah border crossing, facilitating the crossing of citizens from Gaza into Egyptian territory.
Previously, requests were handled through a WhatsApp number and an email provided by the Egyptian representation office in the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah and the consular sector of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
