Egypt Received Over 103,000 Palestinians Since October 7th 2023
Since the beginning of February, 2025, 113 injured Palestinians from Gaza have been sent to Egypt.
During a government meeting to discuss developments in the Gaza Strip, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health, Dr Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, announced that Egypt has received over 103,000 Palestinians since October 7th, 2023, with over 13,000 of that number being children in need of medical attention. Over 16,000 vaccination doses administered for polio and measles to Palestinians in need.
Since the beginning of February, 2025, 113 injured Palestinians from Gaza have been sent to Egypt.
Dr. Ghaffar also confirmed that 164 referral hospitals have been provided with support and are ready to intake Palestinian patients. Capacities include 1,656 adult beds, 191 beds for child care, 150 ambulances, as well as thousands of trained healthcare officials, including about 35,000 doctors and 39,000 nurses.
