Final UAE Public Holiday of 2025 Confirmed for December 2nd & 3rd
Stay tuned: authorities may announce an extended weekend closer to the date.

The UAE Government has confirmed that the final public holiday of 2025 will fall on Tuesday, December 2nd, and Wednesday, December 3rd, in celebration of the nation’s 54th National Day.
Marked each year with nationwide ceremonies, cultural programming, and public festivities, this year’s National Day also falls under new legislation, introduced at the start of the year, which allows the government to shift certain holidays to the beginning or end of the week to create longer weekends.
The flexibility applies to holidays such as the Islamic New Year, the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (PBUH), and National Day, but excludes Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha. Any shift requires an official Cabinet resolution and cannot be applied if the dates coincide with weekends or overlap with other public holidays.
With National Day scheduled midweek in 2025, there remains the possibility that December 1st could be added to the official break, creating a four- or even five-day weekend.
