First Day of Eid Al-Fitr Announced for March 20th in UAE

The UAE Presidential Court has confirmed that the Shawwal crescent was not sighted this evening, meaning Thursday, March 19th, will mark the last day of Ramadan.

As a result, Friday, March 20th, 2026, will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr and the start of Shawwal 1447 AH in the country.

This follows Saudi Arabia’s earlier announcement of the same Eid date in the Kingdom.
