The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has put forward a comprehensive plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, emphasising that Palestinians must remain on their land. The proposal underscores Egypt’s long-standing position against any forced displacement and aligns with efforts to secure a just resolution to the conflict.
The ministry reiterated Egypt’s commitment to working with the US administration to achieve a fair and lasting peace, stressing that any resolution to the Palestinian issue must not compromise regional stability, while addressing the root causes of the conflict. The plan prioritises the end of the Israeli occupation and the implementation of a two-state solution, which the ministry is presenting as the only viable path toward long-term stability in the region.
Egypt’s official statement followed discussions between Jordan’s King Abdullah II and US President Donald Trump. Egyptian sources revealed that Cairo has recently sent multiple responses to the US administration regarding its proposal. It was reaffirmed that Egypt firmly rejects any strategy that involves the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, maintaining that any resolution must respect Palestinian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
