Formula E Brings World’s First Electric Karting Attractions to Saudi
This development comes after the signing of a licensing agreement between Formula E and Saudi Entertainment Ventures.
Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), struck a deal with Formula E, the world’s first all-electric motorsport championship, to launch the world’s inaugural Formula E indoor karting attractions.
With over SAR 50 billion invested into building 21 diverse entertainment hubs across the country, SEVEN has been carefully mapping out its global reach by securing international partnerships, such as this one.
“Our strategic partnership with Formula E [...] complements our mission of creating a Multiverse of entertainment offerings,” Abdulla Nasser AlDawood, Chairman of SEVEN, shares with SceneNowSaudi.
Formula E was established with the intent to revolutionise elite motorsport by leveraging electric racing to expedite collective sustainability ventures. This initiative led to the advancement of electric racing technology and the introduction of novel race formats, all aimed at creating a sport that breaks free from non-eco-friendly tradition.
The Formula E Karting attractions are scheduled to be constructed at four of SEVEN entertainment destinations: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Abha. Each attraction will feature a varied range of adult karts, junior karts, and dual karts, catering to all members of the family. With tracks surpassing 400 metres in length, the Formula E Karting attractions will offer extensive straightaways for high-speed acceleration. Talk about being fast as lightning.
