Full Capacity Permitted for African Football Finals at Cairo Stadium
At least 70,000 fans will be able to attend the upcoming finals of the African Champions League and Confederation Cup.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced that Cairo Stadium will operate at full capacity for the Egyptian leg of the upcoming finals of the African Champions League and Confederation Cup, allowing at least 70,000 fans to attend both Al Ahly and Zamalek’s fixtures as they seek victory in each tournament.
Zamalek are set to take on Morocco’s RS Berkane on May 19th for the second leg of the African Confederation Cup Final, with Al Ahly set up for a thrilling final against ES Tunis six days later on May 25th, after the first leg in Tunisia on May 18th.
As part of the same announcement, the Ministry also increased attendance for local matches in Egypt to 30,000 at Cairo Stadiums, Burj Al Arab, and other football arenas in the country, provided that adequate provisions have been made for crowd safety and control.
