Government to Reimburse Residents Affected by High-Speed Train Project
Affected residents will receive compensation in order to help them secure alternative housing.
The Cabinet of Egypt has announced a new compensation scheme for residents of buildings impacted by the high-speed electric train project. This initiative addresses buildings located on state-owned land or land where ownership cannot be proven by the residents.
Under this decision, affected residents will receive compensation to assist in securing alternative housing. This measure was made in order to ensure that the high-speed electric train project can proceed without further delay.
The train project aligns with the government's broader objective to enhance electric rail transport systems, which is expected to significantly reduce traffic accidents and ease congestion on key routes.
