The High Council of Antiquities has announced that Alexandria’s Greco-Roman Museum will reopen its doors this June. After undergoing renovations, the museum will reopen with a number of antiques that will be put on display for the first time.
Inaugurated by Khedive Ismail III in 1892, the museum represents a significant part of Alexandria’s culture and history, featuring over 20,000 artefacts dating back to the Roman, Greek and Ptolemaic eras.
