Greco-Roman Terracotta Put on Display at Ismailia Antiquities Museum

The Ismailia Antiquities Museum has placed a newly-acquired terracotta lantern from the Greco-Roman period on display, as part of a wider collection of various lighting tools from throughout different eras of Egyptian history.

The museum is widely known for having around 3800 artefacts from across various periods of Egyptian civilization, including a granite sculpture of the sphinx from the middle ages, and a marble sarcophagus of a person named Jed Hour dating back to the Ptolemaic era.
