Paid On-Street Parking to Begin at Dubai Silicon Oasis

Paid on-street parking will soon be introduced at Dubai Silicon Oasis, with operator Parkonic confirming that fees will apply around the clock, including Sundays and public holidays. The official activation date has not yet been announced.
Published rates show charges of AED 4 per hour or part thereof from 8 AM to 4 PM, AED 6 per hour from 4 PM to 8 PM, and AED 4 per hour from 8 PM to midnight. Fees apply to all vehicles, including People of Determination vehicles.
The area will operate as a ticketless zone, with the vehicle’s licence plate serving as the digital parking record. Drivers can initiate payment via SMS by following instructions displayed on on-site signage. If an SMS session is not started, parking fees will be automatically deducted from the vehicle’s Salik account upon exit, subject to Salik’s terms and conditions.
Cash payments, parking machines and QR code payments will not be available at the location. According to Parkonic’s terms, the default payment method is the vehicle’s Salik account unless SMS payment is successfully initiated. Vehicles without a Salik account or with insufficient balance must complete payment via SMS.
The company stated that parking fees are charged per hour or part thereof as displayed on pole signage, unless updated. Failure to pay applicable fees may result in enforcement actions, including fines, blacklisting or legal action by the relevant authority.
