HEI UAE Launches First Finnish Early Learning Centre in Dubai
The flagship project, part of a partnership between Ghobash Group and HEI Schools Finland, will serve children aged 0–6 with a play-based curriculum.
HEI UAE has launched its first purpose-built Finnish early learning centre in the UAE, a 24,500 sq ft flagship campus located in Arabian Ranches 1, Dubai. The facility is designed for children aged 0 to 6, with construction progressing following a groundbreaking in November 2025.
The project forms part of an exclusive partnership between Ghobash Group and Finland’s HEI Schools to introduce a Finnish early years education model to Dubai.
The centre’s layout has been designed to integrate learning, play and wellbeing through dedicated zones that support exploration, creativity and physical development. Indoor and outdoor environments are planned to encourage social interaction, movement and nature-based learning, aligning with international early years best practice focused on holistic child development.
HEI UAE is part of a global network of HEI Schools that serves more than 1,700 children across over 25 centres worldwide. Rooted in Finland’s education system, the model emphasises purposeful play, child-led learning and the involvement of highly trained educators supporting children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth. Teacher training is delivered by HEI mentors from Finland.
