The high-speed electric train project enters its final stages of completion, according to Minister of Transport Kamel El-Wazir.
The project spans from New October City to Marsa Matrouh, passing by Ain Sokhna, Alexandria and Alamein. With speeds reaching up to 250 km/h, the high-speed electric train project could cut trip times in half - and with its coast-to-coast scope, it is also expected to enhance tourism, eco-friendly initiatives, and industrial development.
As the final touches are being applied to the project, the Capital Station is set to be one of the largest stations in the Middle East with amenities including car parking areas and commercial zones.
