Industry Ministry & KAUST Launch Programme for Local Manufacturing

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has partnered with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology to launch a new technology deployment programme aimed at promoting research-led innovation within the Kingdom’s manufacturing sector.

The initiative, titled Technologies for Exceptional Transformation, is designed to accelerate the adoption of technologies developed at KAUST across manufacturing facilities nationwide. The programme focuses on practical deployment, encouraging manufacturers to integrate research-driven solutions directly into production environments to enhance competitiveness, efficiency and industrial outcomes.

The programme is open to Saudi-headquartered manufacturing companies operating within the priority sectors outlined in the National Industrial Strategy. Eligible applicants must identify specific technical challenges and innovation needs that could be addressed through technology deployment. Companies are also required to commit to sharing financial and innovation metrics that demonstrate the impact of the adopted technologies.
