Israel-Hamas 4-Day Truce Begins Friday After 1-Day Delay
Israeli officials declared today, Wednesday November 22nd, that the agreement would commence on Friday, November 24th, a day later than initially reported.
Following Wednesday's announcement of a four-day ceasefire in Gaza, Israeli officials declared today, Wednesday November 22nd, that the agreement would commence on Friday, November 24th, a day later than initially reported.
Israel’s national security adviser, Tzachi Hanegbi, confirmed the delay without specifying a reason. According to BBC reports, Israeli officials attribute the delay to 'operational technicalities' rather than additional negotiations.
The four-day truce will involve Israel Occupation Forces halting all military actions in Gaza, limiting northern air sorties to six hours daily, and completely suspending them in southern Gaza. The terms also encompass Israel's release of 150 Palestinian detainees, including women and children under 19, and Hamas releasing 50 hostages, also comprising women and children.
