King Faisal Hospital Develops 24-Hour Genetic Diagnostic Test

Researchers at Riyadh’s King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) have developed a cutting-edge genetic test that can identify previously undiagnosable diseases in 24 hours.

Involving a new comprehensive protocol which analyses the genetic codes of pathogens, the new test has proved effective in identifying up to half of previously undiagnosable conditions when tested according to traditional methods. It is also able to reveal the level of antibiotic resistance of these conditions, enabling more effective treatment methods.
