Microsoft to Launch Saudi Arabia Data Centre Region in 2026
The Azure availability zones in the Eastern Province will present enterprise-grade reliability and performance to the region.
Microsoft has finished construction on three Azure availability zones in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, with hopes to launch by 2026. The three zones create a powerful data centre region in the Kingdom, which offers enterprise-grade reliability and performance combined with customer privacy, data residency, and high-speed latency standards as part of Microsoft’s global cloud infrastructure.
Each of the availability zones functions on its own independent power, cooling and networking infrastructure, which means that if one zone is affected by power outages or weather conditions, the other two will remain unaffected.
