Minimum Wage in Egyptian Private Sector Raised to EGP 3,500 in 2024
The minimum wage was previously set at EGP 3,000, alongside an increase in the minimum annual bonus to EGP 200.

Egypt's National Wages Council has announced an increase in the minimum wage for the private sector, raising it to EGP 3,500 from the previous EGP 3,000. The decision will take effect starting January 2024.
The announcement was made by Dr. Hala El Said, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, who additionally disclosed an increase in the minimum annual bonus to EGP 200, up from the previous EGP 100.
