Mohamed Mamdouh to Receive Honorary Award at MedFest Egypt

Actor Mohamed Mamdouh will receive an honorary award at the 8th edition of MedFest Egypt, recognising a career built around characters shaped by complicated relationships, emotional pressure and everyday human experience.

“Through his performances, Mohamed Mamdouh has shown how cinema can go beyond entertainment to create empathy, spark conversations, and bring important stories closer to audiences,” the festival said.

Mamdouh has built one of the more varied screen careers of his generation, moving between mainstream comedy, crime, family drama and more intimate character-driven films. Recent credits include ‘Rehla 404’, ‘Ahl Al Kahf’, ‘Welad Rizk 3: El Qadia’, ‘Ex Meraty’ and ‘Snow White’, alongside ‘Daye’, ‘Hepta 2: Al Monathara Al Akheera’ and ‘Al Sada Al Afadel’.

His work has frequently centred on characters dealing with grief, strained relationships, insecurity, social pressure and moral compromise, placing much of his filmography close to MedFest’s focus on mental health and human experience.
