Ministry of Health Delivers Over 300,000 Medical Services During Eid

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population has announced the delivery of 312,756 medical services through mobile clinics and convoys during the Eid holiday, as part of its comprehensive medical insurance plans for Eid al-Fitr.

Between March 30 and April 4, awareness campaigns reached over 789,467 citizens across all governorates. Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the ministry’s official spokesperson, stated that these services align with ongoing health services, including the “100 Healthy Lives” presidential initiative.

The mobile units offered a range of specialities such as dentistry, internal medicine, pediatrics, family planning, laboratory diagnostics, and pharmaceutical services. Cases requiring surgical care were referred to nearby hospitals.

Awareness teams were stationed in public parks, clubs, around mosques and places of worship, and in major gathering sites to educate citizens on healthy habits, nutrition, and available health services.

To ensure continuous care, the ministry’s Emergency and Crisis Room operates 24/7 throughout the holiday season. Ambulances have been strategically deployed along highways, parks, and in public venues, including 11 river ambulances for emergency maritime coverage.

Preventive services remain active, with a strategic stockpile of vaccines and serums available in governorates, particularly for scorpion, snake, and dog bites, as well as foodborne illness.

Rapid response teams are on standby for crisis support throughout all governorates, and coordination with poison control centers and the national emergency hotline (137) ensures timely intervention and hospital referrals.
