SDAIA Begins Applying New Standards to AI Training Programmes
The framework aligns AI and data training with labour market needs, professional requirements, regulation and ethical standards.
The Saudi Data and AI Authority has begun applying a new standards framework to specialised data and artificial intelligence training programmes.
Developed with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, the Data and AI Training Program Standards Framework is intended to align training content with labour market needs, professional requirements and national regulations. It also incorporates AI ethics and awareness of risks linked to the use of artificial intelligence.
The framework was launched in Riyadh during the fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence.
In its first phase, SDAIA’s capacity-building sector evaluated 10 programmes aimed at nonspecialists, practitioners, specialists and leaders against the new standards.
The sector also launched four professional certifications in data management and governance during the forum.
Separately, 31 training programmes have been delivered to more than 850 participants from over 55 government entities.
